Living around the 2nd to 3rd century CE, Kundakunda represents the Jain side of the amazing intellectual renaissance that was occurring in post-Maurya India. He was interested in truth, knowledge, change, and how all three of these related to the issues of karma and liberation of the Jiva – meaning soul.
